Thus, the Casablanca Declaration stands out from other existing international initiatives in the field of surrogacy:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; It advocates for the abolition of surrogacy rather than framework for it. The signatories clearly want to say that surrogacy is intrinsically contrary to human dignity and human rights and that no framework whatsoever can make it acceptable. The idea of ethical surrogacy is a decoy, as it is not a feasible or attainable concept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; The Declaration requests that countries take measures against surrogacy, without elaborating on the various ways in which surrogacy violates human rights. The deliberate decision was made to draft a text that doesn\u2019t require agreement on all aspects but rather emphasizes on achieving the intended outcome \u2013 the abolition of surrogacy \u2013 without risking disagreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\">&#8211; The proposal for an international Convention appended to the Declaration pursues the same objective: to enable States to collaborate with each other within the framework of an international Convention without having to agree in advance on their motivations or priorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Une d\u00e9claration parmi d&rsquo;autres? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le texte de la D\u00e9claration est d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment bref et se concentre sur l\u2019objectif, \u00e0 savoir l\u2019abolition universelle de la gestation pour autrui.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La D\u00e9claration de Casablanca se d\u00e9marque ainsi des autres initiatives internationales existant en mati\u00e8re de GPA&nbsp;:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elle demande l\u2019abolition et non l\u2019encadrement de la GPA&nbsp;: les signataires veulent dire clairement que la GPA est intrins\u00e8quement contraire \u00e0 la dignit\u00e9 humaine et aux droits humaines et qu\u2019aucun encadrement, quel qu\u2019il soit, ne peut la rendre acceptable. La GPA \u00e9thique est un leurre car elle n\u2019existe pas et ne peut pas exister.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Elle demande aux \u00c9tats de s\u2019engager contre la GPA, sans d\u00e9velopper les motifs \u2013 nombreux&nbsp;\u2013 pour lesquels la gestation pour autrui r\u00e9alise une atteinte aux droits humains.
