{"id":728,"date":"2024-01-30T17:41:38","date_gmt":"2024-01-30T16:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/?p=728"},"modified":"2024-03-07T16:21:52","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T15:21:52","slug":"rome-5-and-6-april-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/fr\/rome-5-and-6-april-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Rome 5th to 6th of April 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"499\" src=\"https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rome-flamme-V2-1024x499.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-731\" style=\"width:595px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rome-flamme-V2-1024x499.png 1024w, https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rome-flamme-V2-300x146.png 300w, https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rome-flamme-V2-768x374.png 768w, https:\/\/declaration-surrogacy-casablanca.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rome-flamme-V2.png 1194w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>While few countries in the world have legalised surrogacy, all are concerned because women are asked to be surrogate mothers or because their nationals travel abroad to have a child through surrogacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faced with this global challenge, the Casablanca Declaration of 3 March 2023, signed by 100 experts of 75 nationalities, calls on governments to move beyond resignation and condemn surrogacy and take concrete measures to put an end to this trade.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Declaration proposes that States commit to an international Convention to promote a global context of refusal of surrogacy, likely to draw many countries into this virtuous wake.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Italy, with the current adoption of a law criminalising the use of surrogacy, including outside Italian territory, is showing other countries the way and could play a role on the international stage with a view to an international convention for the global prohibition of surrogacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is why the International Conference for the Universal Abolition of surrogacy will be held in Rome on 5 and 6 April, at which specialists from 5 continents will contribute their expertise with a dual objective:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;
